Wellbeing must be sustainable and inclusive
Our greatest ambition is to develop innovative, sustainable projects that improve community life. Europea, located in Brussels, offers a complete living experience focused on wellbeing in the broadest sense, in a new mixed-use district: 500 residential units, 90 social housing units, a retirement home, 2 nurseries, offices, a shopping centre, a cinema and theme parks on a vast 69-hectare site. Its environmental requirements will make it one of the first neighbourhoods in the world to aim for BREEAM Communities certification.
Concept and architecture
To meet the many challenges of this ambitious project, French architect Jean-Paul Viguier joined forces with 6 local architects (Art&Build, Architectes Associés, Archi 2000, AXENT, R2D2, Urban Platform) and British landscape architect Gustavson Porter + Bowman.
Their combined visions have resulted in an innovative urban concept that combines nature, architecture and multifunctional areas to encourage social interaction.

Located next to the emblematic Atomium in Brussels, Europea offers excellent accessibility to a number of major roads, motorways and the international airport. This area enjoys ample public transport connections to the city centre, complemented by numerous access points facilitating pedestrian and cyclist mobility—a testament to our commitment to sustainable transportation options. The area also offers a wide and varied range of shops, leisure facilities and hotels and restaurants.
