We designed ICÔNE to help people connect better and work together more effectively in this large 18,750 m² office space, improving their collaboration and satisfaction. Dedicated to new ways of working, ICÔNE features coworking spaces, adaptable collaborative offices, and multiple informal meeting points, embodying a vision of work where human and collective dimensions, flexibility, and digitization are paramount.

In late 2021, AG Real Estate, on behalf of its parent company AG Insurance, finalized the acquisition of 100% of the shares of B-9 S.A., owner of the ICÔNE office building in Belval, Luxembourg, by AG Insurance.

This iconic and sustainable office project was fully occupied even before its completion, by Société Générale Luxembourg. The financial services group moved into its new workspaces upon delivery in January 2023.

Concept and architecture

We asked the internationally renowned architects Foster + Partners in collaboration with Luxembourg architects Beiler François Fritsch to design ICÔNE as a symbol of our values. The project features five floors of transparent, luminous, inspiring, and stimulating architecture. The expansive atrium, serving as the building's social and environmental hub, is surrounded by two wings. A unique orthogonal facade and a glass roof enclose the entire structure.

Simplifying accessibility

Location and accessibility

Located in the former industrial zone of Belval, this office project is part of a broader revitalization initiative led by Agora. The area has been converted into an international hub for knowledge and research, as well as a quality residential neighbourhood. Developed on one of the last strategic sites within the already developed epicentre of Belval, ICÔNE enjoys a prime location near the University of Luxembourg, the Cité des Sciences, the railway station, a shopping centre, and Rockhal, the country's largest concert hall.
